The Old Dunoon Pics are just great, amazing to see how much has changed yet how much is still similar, wouldn't it be great to be able to time travel back 100 years or so ........... Only just found this site through a friend and I will be recommending it to others,Name: Janet Sent: 03/02/2010 02:48:34 pm
place of birth recorded very faintly as something like 'Killillan
Victor,
It sounds like Killellan farm in Innellan. If you look up a map you should find it, its just outside the town and I beleive it is owned by the Mitchell familyName: Bill Storey City: Paisley State/Province: Florida Country: USA Sent: 02/18/2010 07:34:50 pm

THANK YOU!! Love all of your cards-- brings back many memories-- my mother's family was Robertson of Sandbank yacht builders and I spent all my summers in Sandbank, Dunoon and surrounding area. Would always stay at Ardmillen, my grandmother's house in Sandbank and play in the boat yard with my cousins. My grandfather, James Gordon, was keeper of Toward Pt. lighthouse so my father grew up in area too before going off to WWII and Japanese POW camps.
Hiya We are planning to move to Dunoon this year. We have 3 daughters, 6, 3 and 1 and wondered what activities there were in the area for these ages. I see there are plenty of mums and toddler groups, which is great. Are there any dancing classes, Brownies or music clubs? Does anyone have any info/advice on the local primary schools? We are looking forward to our move as Dunoon looks like a great town. CheersName: Ian & Maureen McPhee City: San Diego State/Province: CA Country: USA Sent: 01/25/2010 10:46:10 pm
Great to see these old photographs. I brought back many good memories. Maureen and I were both born and raised in Dunoon but left in 1966 for South Africa. (now live in San Diego USA) My nickname in Dunoon was 'Muckle' Anyone out there know Maureen (Matthews) or myself? Would love to hear from you.
