THE HEALTHCENTRE

“Providing a comprehensive range of medical facilities to support the health needs of the local community.” This is the aim of the ‘The Healthcentre’, Dunoon’s newly opened independent pharmacy and healthcare provider. Owned by Laura Smith, a local pharmacist with many years’ experience working in large pharmacy chains, The Healthcentre is already beginning to establish itself as a multifaceted outlet, one committed to improving the well being of it’s local community.
Indeed, the centre’s vast array of clinicians are a testament to it’s burgeoning ambitions. “I really want ‘The Healthcentre’ to focus on education, advice and preventive medicine,” say’s Laura, “and I want it to be accessible to all. We hope to introduce other diagnostic tests in the near future and gain a contract to dispense NHS prescriptions and provide NHS services, although we will need public support in order to achieve this. We currently dispense private and vet prescriptions.”
